STAR

IT infrastructure for non-profits across the former USSR

One programme, many countries: the systems, servers and secure links that let social care organisations keep working every day.

What STAR is

STAR is a long-running IT programme that serves a network of non-profit social care organisations in the countries of the former Soviet Union. It covers accounting and payroll modules on the 1C platform, client and staff management systems for community care centres, document and reporting pipelines, and the servers, networks and monitoring that connect these organisations across borders.

Programme lead

Evgeny Korolev is an infrastructure engineer based in Israel. He leads the infrastructure and connectivity between these organisations in every country of the former Soviet Union: Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft SQL Server, 1C business systems, backups, monitoring and secure links between sites.
